Vector ITC Group renews CMMI Level 3 Certification in its centres in Spain, Mexico and Peru

  • CMMI (Maturit Capability and Model Integration) is the reference model for companies that develop, maintain and operate with software systems for process improvement and evaluation.
  • The CMMI model measures the maturity level of companies’ processes in project execution and service delivery worldwide.

Vector ITC Group has renewed the CMMI Level 3 certification in its centres in Spain, Mexico and Peru, in force since 2008. This outstanding recognition strengthens, once again, its positioning as one of the technological groups with the best quality standards in the execution of projects and the provision of services worldwide.

“Quality is a differential element of our know-how and is one of the foundations of our relationship with customers. Therefore, the renewal of the CMMI Level 3 certification is a reflection that we continue to fulfill our commitment, accrediting ourselves as a company that follows solid quality standards defined in the development of its projects on a global scale. It is important to note that for the first time the Agile methodology has been included in the scope of certification”, says Alfredo Alonso, sponsor of the certification process and director of corporate operations of Vector ITC Group.

As far back as 2014, the company 100% of Spanish capital, renewed the CMMI Level 3 certification in Spain extending the scope to Peru, Brazil and Colombia.

The certification was obtained after a specific audit process, for which it is necessary to obtain a positive rating in an evaluation process consisting of:

  • Document practices that reflect the improvement of corporate processes.
  • Assess the weaknesses and strengths of corporate processes.
  • Determine the level of maturity achieved thanks to the continuous improvement of the processes.
  • Measure the efficiency of process improvement projects.
  • Identify and prioritize future improvement actions.

The scope of the evaluation has focused on the technology business unit. During the process, a total of 41 professionals belonging to the different categories that make up the business unit have been interviewed. A total of 338 practices and 2012 documents have been evaluated.

CMMI (Maturit Capability and Model Integration) is the reference model for companies that develop, maintain and operate with software systems for process improvement and evaluation. It is currently the highest demanded quality standard by large companies worldwide.
